Dr Shailja Tewari is a consultant endocronolist with over 15 years of experience in private and public hospitals. After completing her Basic Physicians training at The Concord Repatriation General Hospital she completed further 3 years of Endocrinology Advanced training at The Royal Prince Alfred, Prince of Wales, Bankstown-Lidcombe and The Concord Repatriation General Hospitals.
Dr Tewari has gained varied and comprehensive training in all aspects of Endocrinology. She was awarded fellowship by Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2007. She holds public hospital appointments at The Canterbury and the Concord Repatriation General Hospitals.
With expertise in managing thyroid, pituitary, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis and assessment and management of hypogonadism and PCOS, Dr Tewari looks forward to assisting you in managing Type 2 and Type 1 Diabetes.
Dr. Tewari also has special interest and several years of experience in managing Gestational Diabetes and also glycaemia in pregnant women with preexisting diabetes, thyroid disorders other endocrine disorders in pregnancy. She will be looking forward to assisting you with optimising Diabetes control for pregnancy planning.
